Home Farm is a Horticultural Therapy education business that offers both a travelling and Live On-line Horticultural Therapy Certificate accessible to students across Canada. The Practical Training takes places at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre of Guelph, home of The Julien Project, a Horticultural Therapy organization.

Training will involve:
-Hands-on HT activities appropriate for year round, both indoors and outdoors, with various populations (seniors, visually impaired, those with restricted mobility, children and youth, developmentally delayed and mental health)
-Classroom instruction covering a variety of Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association HT Competencies
-An opportunity to learn from The Julien Project model how to develop an HT program from the ground up, towards sustainability
-Two days of field trips to innovative sites using gardening and nature for health promotion
-Approaches to sustaining ourselves

Who should attend?
This program is open to people interested in advancing their skills in the hands on application of Horticultural Therapy with various populations.
*Especially relevant to those working in horticulture, community gardening, education, human services and health care settings

$600
*Fee includes three days of light lunches, coffee breaks, and all materials.
*Fee does not include meals during two field trip days and field trip transportation but carpooling will be arranged.
